Hello,
I am looking for a new midi keyboard to play along with the Kronos.
I like the action of the Novation Impulse. Is anybody using the Impuls?
I want to know if the Impuls works with the single USB connection for the midi in and out. I know it is usb class compliant, so it should work, but I like tot be sure before I buy it.

I have the Impulse 61 and 25. I think they are some of the best controllers to date, right next to the Akai and M-Audio Axiom Pro controllers (not too crazy about the second generation Axioms).
Love the build quality and action of the Impulse as well and the controllers on it are fantastic. The Automap feature is amazing. It has the best editor I've ever seen in a controller and I love how you can see the controller assignments on your monitor. You click on a section on the top of the editor and you can see all your knobs and sliders up close and whats assigned to it and with what DAW or softsynth/plugin.
When Korg releases the KRONOS Editor, I can't wait to dive in to the Impulse Editor to assign parameters and CC's on screen. In this case, Impulse won't be connected to the KRONOS via USB anymore. Both KRONOS and Impulse will be connected to the Mac DAW via USB and everything integrates perfectly.
Axiom Pro's are similar in this regard, but its not nearly as intuitive, IMO.
Impluse is the controller to get if your in the market for one.
The other thing I love: It's USB-Powered! Plug it in your KRONOS and jam away! Everything is freely assignable, too, right on the controller itself!
I think M-Audio and Akai are in for some fierce competition, here.
