|

I know this may come across as a stupid question, but I can not figure this out this time for the life of me... I've done it before, but I'm obviously drawing a blank right now.
I have applied a chorus effect to an HD-1 program. I would like to be able to turn the effect on and off via the sw1 (or whichever parameter I choose). I can't get it to work.
The only thing that I've been able to figure out is to change the "depth" (of the chorus) to 0 by default and then the "amount" to the desired amount. Then I chose the sw1 switch as the source. So now when I push the sw1 switch the chorus depth parameter goes from 0 to 40 (essentially turning it on) and then when I push the sw1 switch again the chorus depth parameter goes from 40 to 0 (essentially turning it off)
This works, but for some reason, I'm thinking I am able to just simply turn it off using an onboard controller.
Help!?!?!?
(and please don't consider me a noob for asking this question, because I'm not)
Thanks. _________________ Please subscribe and follow me on Youtube and Facebook for information related audio technology.

No, that is more or less the correct way to do it - but normally working with the wet/dry mix parameter, not any fx-specific parameter.
Of course when assigning to knobs or other continuous controllers, it is up to you which 'transitional' effect you want by assigning to the appropriate parameter. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

There's no real reason not to use the depth, it's just that wet/dry is more universal and you know for sure that they do not affect the sound in any way when it is set to 'dry'. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,
