Just want to ask experienced K owners what they think would be the best choice for a pad type external controller...
I have narrowed it down to four I think -

Korg NanoKontrol 2

Korg Nano Pad 2

Vestax Pad 1

Akai LPD 8 (although I have owned an MPK, and I thought the pads were s@#t)

Any thoughts appreciated....

Thanks

I've got the Nanopad2 and can certainly recommend it. It is programmable, sits perfectly straight on top of my Kronos 88 in multiple positions from left to right and the xy surface adds an additional sound modification source similar to the m3 touch screen. The price is also reasonable to me.
For the 61 and 73 Kronus it might not fit so neatly on top as some people then mount it diagonally.

You should check the manuals of those controllers, many of them are not capable of sending program changes, conly control changes.

I'm just wondering. What are you using the nanopod for exactly ?
Do you bind drum or FX notes to the buttons ? Or the chord pads ?

I want to use it to setup triggers for chords and scenes in Karma, soem other general control work - depending on the song.

I went with the NanoKontrol 2 in the end Smile
