Hello All

Well what can i say, I can not bitch no more about my pa3x keys, cause i changed them.
I gotta be honest it was not easy, but possible.

I was able to install a the keybed from STUDIOLOGIC SL 161, the also known as the TK9S keybed, it's what FATAR calls it.

I can not thank my Dad enough for his skills and vast knowledge of precision tools. I had to drill new holes on the bottom of my PA3X (don't worry its only sheet metal lol)to install the new keybed, I also had to make the studs on the new keybed longer by placing washers and spacers, the hardest part was drilling the holes, since you have to be perfect, I was off on 2 holes, so i have a couple of extra holes on the bottom of my keyboard, but to be honest i do not care !

I have keys that i love and i love simply love the touch and feel,

for those of you who wonder about the functions of keys, I have been testing for a day now, its all there
AFTER TOUCH, VELOCITY, PITCH the ribbon strip all there, i been testing for a day now, all works.

I know a number of members here told me that they do not like the keys, all I can say is if your gonna change em, do your homework and feel free to ask me anything.

Thanks ALL Smile

Hi Joey. This is a first for me. I guess you can kiss any future warranty issues you might have goodbye. Anyway, just curious, are there any transplantible 76 beds out there? I think I'll just stay midied to my M50 88. Good luck.

hello lion

You mean just changing the keys on the original keybed? I could not find any keys that fit that keynes. And as far as the warranty goes well your not gonna have it forever it's a year or two.

cheers

Wow... don't think I have ever seen anyone do that before.

Shame you didn't take photo's of the install. They would have made for some interesting viewing.

Regards
Sharp.

So what do they feel like now, are they light or weighted keys?

They have more of a synth action feel they are lighter, and the keys are not piano shaped like the pa3x original keys
if you ever used a kurziwel k2vx or k2661
