| I've never used any synthesizer but really like the features showcased in teh ims-20 app. If i get this app, will i be in over my head? if so, what can I learn on? (in terms of the ipad) |

IMO the Mini Synth Pro app is a good one to learn synthesis -- the waveforms, filters and functions are clearly laid out, and you aren't overwhelmed with too many choices:
