I am sorry to say, but to me , the update seems to be a wasted opportunity.

There have been many requests for additional features which could have been included in an upgrade of the O.S. If SOME of the requests had been included I believe that KORG could have dispelled many of the critisisms against them. I repeat I am of the view that this upgrade is a wasted opportunity AND lends KORG to more critisism

Company Korg makes model PA800 now or manufacture is finished?
In the model MP10 (media player) there is Multi-language extended character set (Windows ® 1250 -1251 - 1252 - 1253). In the PA series models do not exist Multi-language extended character set (Windows ® 1250 -1251 - 1252 - 1253). Why? Availability of Multi-language extended character set (Windows ® 1250 -1251 - 1252 - 1253) in the PA series models will increase the demand among users of different countries.

The best thing in this upgrade is that now you have a 2011 OS!!!

Yes , thank you King Korg ,,, but like BasariStudios ,, Nothing!,,,, yes Nothing! , still the same Latch error.. I have to plug in a midi cable to the out midi and then back to the in midi to make the latch work ( yes it is still gray out ) ,,, what good is a update if you just fix two (2) small thing and not the rest ,,,, Oh yes that right do not fix , just upgrade to a new pa3 and have the same error again ,,, I can see why your economy going down,and yes we here in the usa , is going down too , so is the pa3 , latch work yet ,,, I did not think so ,, ok ,,, I will just buy the pa4

ok , yes thank you Korg , we all love that you are still work hard on the pa800 and pa2,,, but why , did you not fix the latch mode ,, or do all the other keybaords in the world work (pa800 and pax2 ) and it just my pa800 ,, and yes I have os2.02 and still no latch , its all gray out ,,, so I should put more green ($$$$) out to be just gray out again ,,,

first go to song plat mode first ,,,

1 menu
2 preferences
3 Harmony Track
Now do not pick Global (just pick any Seq track 1,to 16 or Seq 1+2 1 to 16 )

4 next exit
5 now ,, Shift and Harmony ( to get in to the voice processor preset )
6 now pick Harmony tab at bottom of screen , and look at the top of the page and now the Latch Harmony check box is now gray out ,,,WHY Korg
,,, but if in preferences if you pick Global , it will come back on and ,,
ok ,,,
7 How do I get this to be turn on , Korg ,,
8 It will be the same in the pa3 ,,,

When I upgraded to 2.02, Some user styles are included there!

I'm new to Korg PA800 so I've a probably simple question. How Can I extract those styles as a SET or does anyone have it as a standalone SET?

i've just upgraded the Pa2X_os_v202, with no ref 201 upgrade as i was already in 201.

The pa2x pro reboot fine, but afterward i've a strange behavior, i was able to change instruments with touch-sensitive screen, but the buttons (shortlink to instruments) on the pa didn't work.

I switched from all mode (sequencer, sound, ... )

It's only after 5 min that the pa magically allow me to use the buttons to select instruments.

That's a long time i havn't used my pa (such a shame), so i assume that i made a wrong manipulation.

Anybody encounter the same thing ? any advice ?

Hello, I have updated OS to 2.02 and also restored resources from the Korg 2.01 download bkp file.

Now the keyboard is silent! There is no output from it at all. It goes through the motions, the tempo LED flashes if I start the drums, but no sound!

Any ideas, people??

Yes, tried the slider of course..nothing that simple!

I see in the link you posted, someone else has had the same problem, ie keyboard no longer makes any sounds following update to 2.02.



What I originally did was this:

1. SSD format.

2. Load OS 2.02 and restart keyboard. Screen now says OS v2.02 July 2011 on bootup. All voice buttons are now blank.

3. Load Res 2.01. (there's no Res 2.02). Voices are now back to factory settings ie instrument names have reappeared in all the right places.

After having a play, I found that the 'digital drawbars' plays ok but no other sounds at all.



So I went back to OS 2.01, loaded that, then loaded Res 2.01

Still no sound from keyboard (inc demos) except Digital Drawbars and a few preset organ sounds eg B3 / Jimmy S etc

i have fully upgrade the Os 2.02 but for some reason made my pa800 dead and i follow the instruction and this want help me so i hade to change 2 board and know is working fine so if some one has a Os 2.01 please dont change it ,it will messup your korg pa800 and you will need to buy to boards new to make it work agine hope this will help
