|
|
I just got the PA500 last week. Anyway, I'm trying to record a song, not in MIDI, but the full audio. So it sounds like how I'm playing it. I tried recording it onto an SD card but it just does MIDI files and when I play the song back on my computer it sounds like it's been through a washing machine. How do I record a song all the way, like with everything intact? Can that be done on my USB or do I need to connect the keyboard to my computer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

No, you cannot record audio directly on a USB device or SD-card; PA500 doesn't support that.
This can opnly be done with a top line arranger, for instance Korg PA3X, Yamaha Tyros 3 or 4 or S910.
This is what you need to do:
Make your recording(s) in Midi format and save it/them.
Now you have to connect Audio Line Out from your keyboard to Audio Line In from your computer.
You need a good soundcard to get a decent recording. Also you need recording software, for instance Audacity (freeware), but there is also (better) commercial software available. _________________ Musical grtz, Frans |

Great! So how do I do that? I have Audacity installed on my computer. How do I record my song as an audio track, in other words? |

Should not be too difficult Assuming that your computer soundcard is properly installed/configured.
Connect your Korg audio out to sound card audio in.
Select your sound card as sound source in Audacity.
Hit record in Audacity and play.
Yes there can be few things that can go wrong but try this first. _________________ Korg KronosX & M3 & Pa2x Pro • Reaper • NI Komplete 8/Kore 2 • Omnisphere • Usine • soundcloud.com/allandd |

Hi,
did anybody try to record on an ordinary multitrack recorder, such as
ZOOM R8, Roland BR800 or the very inexpensive Tascam DP 004 ?
Some of those create a very high quality .wav audio file ( which isn't a midi file and is superior to poor mp3 recordings) and this
audio file can be transfered to your computer without need of any special
music software, providing you don't need to perform any further editing of the audio tracks.
Here is some usefull info.
