Are you hitting the WRITE button twice each time you change the start/end points in Sample Mode? Make sure you do that. If you want to erase the unused space to free up memory, try the TRUNCATE function.
If you've found the right start+end point to make a clean loop, you should be able to save this and use it. Could it be that you're playing it at a different pitch and making the speed different so it cuts off early? To test this, go into Sample Edit mode, make sure you're editing your loop and go down to "StrcStep" and set it to 16x the number of bars long your loop is (so 64 beats for a 4-bar loop). SAVE THIS (WRITEx2), go into Part Edit mode and try it on a stretch part. If you hold the key down it should keep looping in time with the beat. Let me know if you've tried this and it's still not working. |

Ok, first you must set the "start" and "end" points of the sample. I believe you already know this..
Next, YOU MUST TRUNCATE! (hold "shift" and press pad 12)
Next, YOU MUST WRITE THE SAMPLE. This will give you the correct length for chopping.
THEN, you can "slice". Also, keep in mind (and this is not clearly stated in the manual), you can use the "shift" button to remove or add slice locations when slicing!
Hope this helps. =) |
