I bought a used one from ebay with a cradit card, still waiting for it all to clear, from armen music in ny.

Hope i get it soon, will now have to sell my kurzewil ksp8, geddy lee fender jazz bass, breedlove 12 string acoustic, access virus A, E6400 sampler and a red american fender telecaster. oh yeah and my Trinity Plus and Micro x.

Yikes...

I got it for 2349 shipped.

IS that a good deal?

I kept going to GC and playing the demos with my ultimate ear super fi 5s.

What sold me was the ms20 engine blows the doors off the software version, its not as fake and plastic when sweeping the high pass. The fact you can layer 2 synths per prg. The built in fx, the polysix sounds better than the vst as well. AL1 is a show stopper as well, very unique VA that has its own sound and can do pretty out of the world stuf, THE MOD 7 and massive mod matrix thing, can make super ambient weird noises. This things can sound mean.

THE str-1 kinda sucks at guitar sounds but it rocks at strange ambient and bell type weird things and that sold me.

The hd1 is meh, doesnt matter, the organs are meh,

I loved the strings and pads. I loved the VA stuff. So for that alone i wanted it. I love the interface. I like the keyboard, and i like the touch screen tons.

well, those demos were made with the FM8 according to his own post.

He only used the KARMA modules for the midi note information patterns which he fed into fruity loops No sounds were coming from the Kronos (he didn't own one, he copied the KARMA midi patterns from a friend).
