Big surprise for all who dont know yet :
A micro SD card is on the main board inside the Wavedrum
most Data are on the card...
backup Data + more is possible ...

A special cable can bring the SD card to outside , for easy access.

I dont want to use freestoks thread for discussing order details

GROUP ORDER
I couldnt find an adress for single order for this special cable
(if somebody has a single order adress , please tell me )

now I am going to order 20 (or 40) of these extension cables
+"middle bottom" protected solution
+ solid plastic encased reader , Glue on / Velcro outside
+ NORMAL SD Card size reader
(+no drilling )
+25 cm cable length

-leading the cable outside needs probably to scratch away 2-3 mm of plastic
-no experience about mechanical stability , yet
-has never been mounted before
(a little bit of improvisation is maybe necessary to mount it )

I suggest a minimum order of 2 cables
there is no warranty for an intact cable
(maybe we keep 2 extra as a safety insurance)
Price in Europe is higer than in China

maybe its useful to open your WD and remove the the 2 screws at 11 and 13 o clock
and the plastic shield , so you can have a first impression about mounting and leading out the cable.
(no discussion about construction with me , before you opened your WD ,please.)

The eBay cable you linked should be here soon. I will let you know how it goes. I suspect that same Company would be willing to make some to spec but the 20 piece lot isn't than bad. Good luck with an order I only had 1 other in the state and 1 from overseas actually confirm they wanted one. I hope it goes better for you.

Looks OK, I'm in!

We just need to work out the best way to fix the male end to the WD card slot, I haven't opened my WD yet, I'm waiting for a replacement head so I can do that at the same time.

The WD slot has a little cover that clips onto the SD card, and that may or may not work, so I'm thinking of using a little bit of silicone gel?

We really don't want't the connection to come loose while the WD is on, it may corrupt the data on the card.

seems the manufacturer of the cables is not able
to give me a paypal account ,
where paypal makes a money transfer...(???)
I tried 5 times , sent 8 emails , 2 telefone calls with paypal.
I will try with a money transfer to a Singaporean bank.
2 dollars per cable extra.

I can see that these cables(+big reader) will sell like warm cake

there was a lot of hassle with the cables and paypal ,

also nobody wants to exchange sounds (=much demotivating)... Crying or Very sad

(direct sound implementation is possible with card access)... Question

so I let it sleep for a while
I will try one more time these days
with the Singapore bank account

another possibility:
ask Korg directly that they could sell these cables
and open up their Wavedrum to modifications
like the Monotron family ... Cool

Hi everyone,
Selling two cables like the one on the picture below - brand new, still sealed.
Cable length : 6,2 cm without connectors - 9,3 cm including connectors.
Price for one cable : 13 euros.
Shipping charges will vary depending on where you are (I'm located in France). I guess it won't be very expensive, since the cable weighs nearly nothing.
