It doesn't sound like a plug in, it doesn't sound really analog either. It sounds like the best digital synth ever. And on the front of making aggressive electronic music, wow the MS20, polysix, al1, mod7 do the job better than any of my plug ins except maybe sylenth1 and diva.

The presets ROCK. They can get you into any musical territory in the electronic realm from industrial, goth, to techno and goa trance.

This is just the VA stuff. I like it more than any of my plugins. I do like my plugiator, and the Virus A as well. They pair up great with this synth and cover the ground that is lacking in the kronos. Kronos doesn't sound moog, or roland. It sounds oberish and korgish and that is a good thing.

HD1 is amazing as well. STR-1 is ok if you throw enough effects on it. I dont care about organ sounds, the pianos are pretty damn stellar as well.

I still have to dive into the drums, and I have not yet.

Yes, i gripe about the touch screen being out dated and acting just as my trinity did. Despite that, and the kind of cheap weird build quality, this synth is amazing. The verbs kind of suck tho. The delays are my all time favorite in this box. The amps and compressors are ok, not the best but usable. I notice i get better results when i track in and i turn off any of the compression and limiters and use the wase api 2500.

I love this thing. I am so glad I bought it despite all my hesitations.

Writing my new LP has gotten a lot easier, and will sound very aggressive now. So happy. I still use my microx for the combies though, i prefer those combies. I use the program mode for my synths on kronos, not the seq, and not the combies. I track in program by program.

Love it.

This is coming from and Industrial musician as well who is on a label and makes a living on my music

I didn't like the verb on my Triton, which is the same as is used on many presets in the Kronos still. But the O-Verb in the Kronos is pretty nice I think. Try swapping that in and see if you like it better maybe?

Yes, the sound is there. It sounds like a korg synth on roids. Breathy and airy, and snappy and aggressive.

Or it can sound all normal and jazzy too. It really covers all the ground you need for any style of music.

And yeah I am still disappointed about how the touch screen works.

Maybe you have an issue with your touch screen.. I thought it was pretty quick to the touch.. I barely touch mine and its moving very fast page to page.. hmm

I think ever since korgs Trinity keyboard I have been hooked.. Coming back to buy FLagship after Flagship.. But I skipped the M3, not impressed and Oasys too costly. mmmmm Kronos just right.. well it could be alot better but Im ok for the moment.

Its a menu system, i want multi touch and i want to edit with my fingers on the screen like the ipad allows on ims20.

Yes the screen is a solid generation behind mainstream lcd screens. There is a lot to bitch about (Because with a handful of tweaks, it would be about as perfect for a modern workstation as you can get) , but there's a lot to love about the Kronos too. That's why we're all here.
