Killer bass killer guitar
I bought my Kronos 61 because i have played korgs since the korg 800 and my microkorg xl is a lil killer korg even gave us all the original microkorg patches & editor free. i havent had a problem with the hardware in my kronos like so many others. My thing is this my kronos wants the best analog bass & dist guitar sounds there is because he's built 4 it & he can handle it no problem. Korg I have the best workstation i just need a lil more analog bass & dist guitar. I'm not good with editing sounds & dont have a lot of money i just need access to more killer patches for my Kronos from King Korg

I second that! I use a Roland Keytar, and most of my live performance is blues and classic rock. Korg, you guys nailed the acoustic guitars, but man I really need some strat Stevie Ray/ Hendrix sounds. The dst. Wah guitar has been a good place for some editing, but I would gladly pay $200.00-$300.00 for a bank of great guitars. Yamaha did so with the AXX for the Motif EX. Anyway, if I stumble on some good sounds by my own programming, I will gladly share them! Blessings,

From my view the EGuitars are the weakest sound category on the whole Kronos, and definitely something Korg should adress sooner or later. You can tweak them a bit, but you still will hardly be happy with the result.
A part of the problem is that the overdrive effects (in contrast to many other really great effects in the Kronos) do not sound too great as well (unnatural digital sounding harsh overdrive, no natural sounding valve overdrive).

Out of interest if you sample a bass note or a guitar note or chord into the Kronos can you then "play" these samples i.e. original bass note is C and then once sampled you can play that sound as you wish on whatever key (i.e. keyboard then auto transposes sound to correct pitch when playing the note)?DennyC wrote:The types of electric guitars you guys are describing are exactly what I"m also looking for. Yes, I would also pay for a "Hendrix" Exi.![]()

I'll agree here. The guitars are pretty sucktastic, and the distortion algorithms in IFX aren't much help.
So count me in. Or how about releasing sample streaming to the USERS so they can create their OWN libraries? Then we don't have to depend/wait on Korg or their partners to get things done!

Are you after Synth bass or guitar bass? Because from your post, it sounds like you are talking about Synth ('analog') bass, which should be provided quite nicely with a bit of tweaking from the subtractive EXI's like MS20 and AL1.
I do however have a nice (well, fairly badly sampled but realistic sounding) bass guitar patch that I made ages ago for the triton series, recently loaded it up on the Kronos and made a couple of programs for it, and it makes me want to sample MORE. I'd love to sample some guitars for the community, but I don't really have a guitar recording setup here.

I was just chatting on facebook with Kurt From Karo libraries .
He said there are many plans for future libraries for the Kronos and the E.guitars are one of them
But first he said he is planning to make an upright piano library .

My post goes something like this ( analog bass & dist guitar sounds ) My point is this the Kronos has great sounds pianos, strings, drums r killer if Korg would just throw in killer guitar patches it's good 2 go. It does have nice bass but i know with those engines that it could b on the scale of let's say a minimoog y hold back. Who out there agrees that ur Kronos should have killer guitars & killer Bass from King Korg free it's not much 2 ask 4 frankly i think it should have them out of the box this is the best workstation thats y i bought it & King Korg is known 4 killer sounds
