thanks being in bands for many years that did not use live horns, I've grown accustomed to doing it myself.

DId a gig this weekend,,found that the strings and horns sounded thin.
wants the best way to improve that?

..
Equalizer?

I'm using a QSC 12' 1000 powered speaker and a Roland KC150
left goes to one speaker... right goes to the other
maybe a little mixer?

I've got similar setup for both studio and playing out.
Recommend using 31 band EQ with the QSC 12, this allows you to change the sound for each venue and the room characteristics. I don't use a mixer, but it would boost the outputs as well, but the 31 band will handle the sound better for the horn patches.

Behringer FBQ3102 Ultragraph Dual 31-Band Equalizer about $140

i previously had a few Motif types ( ES6, XS8, S90ES, XS90ES )

and i do agree 100% regarding trumpets and nylon gtrs ...

and i do/did play both of those ...

i liked the Jazz Trumpet sound from my M3 on the PCM expansion samples ... !

i'm wworking steadily on improved trumpet and nylon guitar patches ..
i do think /hope they in the Kronos somewhere ..!

IMHO kronos brass sounds sounds bad when we play it first time (without using track, playing it on itself), but it just sits right on the band or recording... also it sounds very full.. yamaha is much thinner, but i love that they also sampled the natural vibrato of the player.
