I've had a PX5D for awhile and used it heavily in the beginning. I went to sell it and the buyer complained that the input jack was noisy and was cutting out when the cable was moved slightly. He returned it to me and sure enough, there is an issue with the input jack.

I took a paper clip and bent the tip clip on the connector down a little bit to make the connection tighter. It improved, but not to the point where the buyer would like it.

Are there any repair manuals on this thing? I'm just about dangerous when it comes to electronics repairs and would like to know how to get this thing apart and replace the input connector.

Sorry for very late post. But I didn't detect this one until now when I had the same problems.

Seems lots of people have these problems. I want to do this too, since day one. I tried to use lightweight George L's plugs and cables but to no avail. It seems that the input jack, as well as the output jack is hardwired onto the chip-board inside, and if the jack plug is too heavy it drags the whole unit downwards and jinx the settings inside. Or angles the ground jack so it buzzes.

First I thought that I've done the George L solderless thing badly, but I tried it with other plugs and cables, and the issue was the same. I wonder too how one can open this unit and do spraying and repair.

I've searched on the net, YT, and whatsoever, and there seems always some DIY geek and fellow who find it out (just as with cell phones repair) and publish something, but KORG Pandora PX5D seems to have too few users around, at least with problems. There's only the usual demos of the damm thing on YT. Of course.

I've taken mine apart several times (I have a totally non-fuctioning input and a very quiet output) and found that there is literally no safe way to fix it. I had a few wires disconnected, so I fixed those, but even still it does nothing. But, it still stands proudly in front of one of my loudspeakers in case I ever find a way to fix it.
