I haven't revisited this list plus it was produced in PA1XPro days, however - there may be some clues here.

Also there is the collection of PA2X "gig styles" - if anyone is interested I have put them here:-

Terrific data, but I wonder if you can post a link to a text version? I am happy to extract the English titles Smile

Thanks

Okay I have had a closer look (I found an excel viewer) These are all PA80, PA800 and PA1x predominant styles..a few PA2...

As I said to Pete I am really trying to establish a PA3 based list...if I have time to sort which older format song matches actually HAVE the corresponding style on the PA3 I will....

But at this stage, I want to keep it to PA3..

Thanks for the input though.

Thanks Pete Smile I am hoping to start with specifically PA3 matching styles as the programming and even the naming, as you would know, is quite different on a lot of them...in fact some of the styles mentioned on the XLS list are not even ON the PA3...

I am trying to establish an up to date PA3 styles based list...

But these will provide some good ideas too I reckon.

Dennis

PS: by the way you did realise that the PA2X "gig styes" are all .prs and .sty (or ie Yamaha and Roland) style format???

Laughing nah you weren't to know Pete, it was a zip file after all..who knows what was in it!!

All good m8 Smile

I am actually way more disappointed that with ALL our users here no-oe has offered one suggestion for a PA3 style...they must think people will laugh at them when they reveal what songs they are playing...I dunno Rolling Eyes

All I want to do is get a decent database happening for all users....don't care what the song is..

Great idea Miden and thanks for you efforts.....unfortunately I have saved most of my songs into user banks to massage them to my taste then songbook them..is there a way of finding the original factory style name ?

I to have found the factory songbook entries by and large useless....and most of the rock styles useless. I am hoping the new operating system adds some decent rock styles. From memory I think lay down sally is the only one I use. Perhaps its my lousy imagination and your list will throw up some good rock styles/song combinations.

50's r&roll - just ok for jailhouse rock/ blue suede shoes, see ya later alligator etc...
south shuffle - I use at T150 - 155 for my gal is red hot / nadine.

cheers Howie

Thanks Howie..

To be honest that's is how I do it as well - tweak the style to suit what I need..but in this I am trying to establish as sort of default "go-to" list for users when they get stuck on what would work.

So thanks for the multiple songs per styles you posted.

This can be for anyone else too, if you have a few songs that you find work with a style, post em up Smile

The ones I have started with are the "obvious" ones.

Hi Dennis

Great idea.

Highland Cathedral works well with 'Celtic Ballad' but needs Temp. 100
