the one painted, was one i brought back from the dead. someone painted it camouflage, and it took everything to get it off. it was primer paint. so the lettering was rubbed off.
it gave me a good reason to put some paint on it after experimenting with different looks and color in microsoft paint i tried silver and black.
they are both Acura colors from their cars and was done at an auto body shop. the finish is smooth, it just looks bad from the reflection of my blinds. it was a perfect paint job.

i wouldnt be surprised if it showed up on ebay one day. lol. i'd buy it NOTE: in my haste to get it put together, you can see the screen cover wasnt seated perfectly in the top left corner and i missed a screw on the back. so embarrassing.

A lot of work and an absolutely gorgeous paint job! Congrats!

If it is automotive lacquer, it might well survive ironing. In which case you might want to try ironing mirror printed laser sheet (or transfer paper).

Do it on some other surface first and see the results. I'm lucky doing printed circuits that way - was thinking about doing other prints as well, but have not yet tried. Should work nicely.

therer's just something about that ink. it's washable. there's a guy in UK that does amazing synthesizer paint jobs, but $$$$$$$ have you seen it? i'll try and get a link. ahh here it is. these are really nice

i'm not sure if he uses paint or ink or both. the chrome is off the hook, but the others are plain gorgeous.

@ spacecowboy,

Have you considered an auto-quality wrap?

There are graphics shops that could transfer just about any finish from pure chrome to photos onto a very tough plastic. It uses non-destructive adhesive/shrink wrap to cover just about anything with a smooth surface (the Trinity has enough smooth deck space to make this work nicely).

Since its graphics based you could include labels as well.

I hate when people paint their synths.
If this person wanted a different color Trinity, they should have looked for the lovely BLACK Japanese version.
