Just picked up a Wavedrum a few days ago and beginning to dive in. I've been reading the manual and the forum and trying things out. The possibilities are almost overwhelming! Expect to see me on here with lots of questions...

Seems like a lot of this is about experimenting. Just curious if those of you who have been at this for a while start to get a "feel" for the algorithms after a while. For example, when you are looking to create a specific sound do you think, "Yeah, algorithm 11 is a good place to start." Or is it kind of a hot mess all the time? Haha!

Looking forward to learning from all of you more experienced wavedrummers.....

Welcome!

For me, it's a bit of both. Sometimes I start out with a specific algo in mind, but there are often many surprises along the way. That's what makes the Wavedrum so cool. It is unpredictable and offers many, many sonic possibilities that just aren't available in any other instrument. Unlocking its secrets is where the fun begins.
