I'm thinking about picking one of these up. I heard there's no transpose button, but if I assign one sample that is played chromatically across the keyboard can I assign it at a higher key so that I can play several octaves below it? Or does it automatically assign the original unpitched sample to something like middle C (or the micro equivalent). I like to slow samples way down a few octaves. Hope that makes sense. Thanks! |

Basically the keyboard operates from "C" samples if you want it to scale / transpose correctly for you.
It takes a "C" at the original sample frequency and scales it up or down based on the key you assigned the sample to.
For example if you took a C3 sample and put it in the Center of the keyboard, it would scale/transpose "Down" 1Octave at the lowest C and up 1 Octave to the highest key.
I think it does what you are asking. Hope this helps. Btw if you want some free banks...go here.
