A bit sad, no one had an answer on my question about my volume issue playing back a song I recorded , as explained on page 91 ( Record mode: Backing Sequence (Quick Record ). The accompaniment is often far to predominant/loud to my liking. So I change the balance knob for more song. and less accompaniment. After recording again it's clear there's no difference. Read both manuals, no solution. It looks to me KORG has built in a standard balance between accompaniment and song at recording.

I would be very happy when somebody could tell me about his/her experience with recording !!! Thanks in advance Rolling Eyes

Not at all. When you adjust the BALANCE knob you are just changing the relative BALANCE in the audio amplifier. This is far 'downstream' from where the record levels are set.

The levels set in the STYLE are the levels that will be recorded. To change the levels recorded you first need to change the levels in the Style you are going to record. There are several ways to go about this. You could define a new Style based on the Factory style with new levels set. You could temporarily modify the Factory style. You could define a new entry in the Songbook with adjusted levels.

Let's try one example.

1. Set Style Play Mode and select the Style you want to record
2. Play a chord in the left hand
3. Press START/STOP
4. Select the Drop Down Menu in upper right hand of LCD and make sure EASY MODE is OFF
5. Press TRACK SELECT and make sure VOLUME tab is selected

At this point you should see this screen like this except with your selected style ...

You can now adjust the relative levels of all the tracks used in the Style accompaniment. Be sure to press each STS 1 thru 4 to make sure you have adjusted all the levels on all 8 channels to your liking.

Now you can switch to Sequencer Mode and record your song.
