Hello all,

I'm Xavier Francis, from India. Our church had bought a used PA60 few months back. I'm looking to change the floppy drive with the emulator so that I can update the performances and the also the os as the keyboard sometimes give/plays a few notes by itself.

I have the searched the Internet and found this site selling floppy drives emulator for Keyboards
http://www.virtualvillage.com/floppy-drive-emulator-for-roland-e50-yamaha-psr-korg-006401-095.html

How reliable is this site?
How reliable will the emulator be?- in the sense can I use it to update the OS and the preload data? Can I take back up of my performances already stored on the keyboard?
How copy the os on the usb stick so that I can install it on the keyboard later?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I relaced my 3.5inch floppy on my Pa1Xpro a few months ago with a floppy emulator and I am very very happy with it. I use it all the time to transfer midi files via USB pen drive. If I format a USB pen drive from my keyboard it will cause the pen drive to behave just like a floppy (with the 1.4mb limitation but because these things are so cheap now you can afford to have them limited this way). If you use the special format program from ipcas you can get it to behave like it has 100 floppies but bear in mind there are some computers that will not run this software properly (XP works fine but Vista doesn't).
