|
|
Hello: I am a newbie. I purchased a defective PA 60 that would not power up a month ago. I fixed that problem, but although I can go through all the different menus successfully, nothing comes out of the speakers (or the headphones). The power supply and audio amp appears good, but still nada!. Is there something with the OS that could cause this problem?
I am frustrated - anybody got any ideas?
Thanks in advance _________________ Michael J. Stone

My suggestion.
Reinstal system and resource from original FD..if you don't have it, download it from
Code: | http://www.korgpa.com/pa_root/en/extra/korgstory_Pa60.html?en |
If it wont help, try to open keyboard case and clean audio connectors between mainboard and I/O board.
I have had problem whith right audio channel (no sound) and problem was exactly on connector.
good luck _________________ KORG PA-800,PA-60, KARMA, M-AUDIO MIDI 2x2, VHM-5, Roland PCR-300, EDIROL M-16DX, BOSS BR-80,Micro-BR, Alesis Q49, M-Audio AXIOM 49 MKII

Thanks GinoL96 for your kind reply and help with my problem. I tried what you said, but had no luck. So I took it into a korg service place and paid $20 for a diagnosis. They told me that the audio output board (before the power amp.) was defective. Cost to fix: $230 (less the diagnosis cost)= $210. seems a lot. I can do the job myself, so I am trying to find out the cost of the part from 'parts is parts'.
