The USB midi driver for the KK delivers two ins and outs each.

In:
Kingkorg 1 Midi In
Kingkorg 1 Kbd/Knob

Out:
Kingkorg 1 Midi Out
Kingkorg 1 Sound

For use within my DAW I would like to know the functionality of each (especially the difference between the two ins and between the two outs).
I don't find anything specific in the KK manual/reference manual.

Can anyone of you clarify?

let's say you have connected an expander to the physical midi OUT of KK, you can control this expander from the KK keyboard and control the expander from your daw selecting the Kingkorg 1 midi OUT

more info from the korg PS60 midi driver guide which should be the same for KK):

KEYBOARD port (KBD/KNOB)
Applications

on your computer use this port to receive MIDI messages from the PS60 (data from the keyboard and controllers).

------------------
SOUND port
Applications

on your computer use this port to send MIDI messages to the PS60’s internal sound generator, making it produce sound
