Hi
I've been playing midi files in sequencer mode on my pa600, and making changes to the sounds which I can hear as the file plays, but seem to be unable to save the changes. I play the files in sequencer mode, change the sounds on the tracks I want to change using the touchscreen, save the song with the tab on the upper right of touchscreen, saving to same name so as to overwrite existing midi file. However, when I play the song again, it plays with the original sounds. I'm sure I'm overlooking something, but can't figure it out (It does appear that sometimes sounds are saved, but only if there are no instrument changes imbedded in the midi file track, ie midi file has same sound assigned to each particular track for the duration of the song). I'm confused. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! |

Some midi files have program changes embedded in the track so they will overwrite any sound changes you do.
You need to delete these program change events so you need to go to Menu, Event Edit, and delete program changes that relate to sound selection. If you filter out all events except Program changes I think they will be easy to find.
