|
|
Hi there,
(User Manual page 236)
"...Creating an Audio Groove.
"After loading an Audio Groove, you must..."
Hard without the actual keyboard before me, but got to be something simple I'm missing here. What exactly is an 'audio groove'? Is it something that could be created in Audacity? Feel free to use a dumb-down explanation - no offence will be taken.
Also, could someone who is familiar with both the Yamaha and Korg way of naming things, please post a list of equivalent terms?
Cheers |

My thought would be that it is a sound; a wave file or audio file that is sampled. It can then be sliced into a snippet of sound that is used within the instrument. Most likely in a style, but possibly also to create a program, say guitar or horn or drum sound or pattern sound. _________________ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=807494

Cheers for a quick response, nitecrawler. Thought it might be that, like a guitar lick or anything capable of being broken up for recycling. Was probably the exotic name: 'Audio Groove' that threw me.
Got a PA900 pre-ordered, and am browsing the manual to (hopefully) lessen the jolt of changing keyboards: Yamaha PSR-S950 to Korg PA900.
Thank-you. |

Happy Jack,
I am going the same route as you - I just sold my S950 and have the PA900 pre-ordered.
I've had a number of Yamaha arrangers and it will be very hard to beat the sound of those Yammy guitars.
Sure hope to see that new keyboard before I loose interest.

Hi there,
Fellow traveller Billy Hank - greetings! This can't be right: I see my new Korg PA900 just went to AudioworksCT by mistake!
happy regards |
