Glad to hear that you had some relatively good news about your back.

I have not checked out the issue with my Mac yet as you said it could have been the internet connection or just the Mac being a diva. I really did not give it much time, I removed it as soon as I saw the issue. I haven't played the last few days much, my wife found another house and if we proceed on it (which I am pretty sure we will) I will have to sell mine so I busted my rear end getting it ready for the market. My pain will just south of yours Rolling Eyes

Did you see the new macpro core training video? Let me know. Be well.

Yes, it is a lot of work and a lot of stress. But if it works out it will well worth it. If not I will start learning the blues Laughing

Let me know what you think of the core training video when you watch it.

Are you referring to the logix X core training? If so I am three or four into it. I am about half done with maschine. I saw enough of the logic X to know I would like it but right now I have 8 express. As soon as I am done with maschine and massive I will work through logic 8 core book and any vids on Mac Pro video. I realized last night I don't know how to get my slmk2 to connect with maschine through logic so that's what I am looking for now. I am certain I am going to be using 8 express for the next 6 months or so. I hope the transition to X is easy. From the vids I have gotten through it looks like a fairly simple transition from 8.

I am really excited about stacks!

This weekend I hope to migrate all music software to a 1 TB external drive. I am concerned it will be to slow. Which is one reason I am hopped up on logic X and an external thunderbolt ssd. Can't hurt to try though.

Stacks is very cool. I think you will like it.

Give it a shot. It is worth trying for sure.

Let me clarify, when I said "give it a shot" I meant the external drives not Logic X.

Even though I think you will also like Logic X as well.

Re-injured, on the road and just haven't gotten to try moving everything over yet. Reformatted my 1 terra byte drive. I am going to mirror my MacBook Pro to it tonight. I think it will work fine, turns out maschine has to be loaded on a bootable drive and I had the 1t set up as storage only.

Moved all of my aperture and photos to the external drive saved a lot of space. And as insurance I burned all my photos to dvd. I left everything else on my laptop. The speed of my external drive is just numbing after the ssd. I do not mid working my photos that way because I am very slow with my corrections anyway and do not batch edit. So until I can get a external thunderbolt ssd I will use this set up. I have enough room now to load Logic X once i get it, and room for projects. Not ideal but I really do not trust HDD. I have had to many fail over the years. 6 in as many years, with two of them going within months of install. Gues I am just a stubborn old Bas#$%^&*&^. Very Happy

Sorry to hear about the injury. And regarding Logic X, it is not going anywhere. Get well.

Talk to you soon.
