Hello, One of my KB,s Pa2 X is heaving problem, I resetted it, it wont help.
some of the sounds are transposed to other tones even after Fabric reset!

Even if i Format SSD!
And replacing and reinstalling the OS, 2.2 And RES!

Any idea?

Al other things are working no problems whit it. But some sounds like Gitars or some Accordion sounds are to much modulations on.
Well , i asked for any ideas help from this community.

Anthony, Sharp, Or Karma, Or Any of you out there, Please help.

Hello Asena,

I suggest you format and get a clean set of factory sounds. I have done it many, many times on Korg Pa2X. On more than a few occasions I loaded sets from Pa3X by mistake and ended up formatting.

Also when loading sets always delete the global file before you install the set.

To format, hold the INTRO1 Key and turn on the keyboard.

Navigate to this file and let the keyboard do the format using this file:

http://www.korgpa.com/pa_root/software/pa2x/os/Pa2X_format.zip

Then it will ask you to install the Operating System Restore file. This file would install the Operating System as well as all the factory sounds and styles. No need to install anything after this one.

Turn the keyboard off and hold the INTRO1 key again. Turn on the keyboard and navigate to this file:

This is a big file. It takes several minutes to finish. After the installation is complete, it will ask you to restart the keybaord. After you restart it, immediately it will show you a cross mark on the upper left side of the LCD. You have to touch it very accurately. This is the start of the LCD calibration process. It will repeat the process for the other three corners of the screen. After it is done with calibration you have all new factory settings.

thanx for reminding me .

I was in test mode long time ago, and after i just checked the LED,s and tested the KB for other problems like keys and more, This appeared,

So i downloaded OS plus RES and Format utilities.

I formatted, And reinstalled OS + Res, And it,s the same.

Mayn(NOT AL) sounds makes more modulations than normal, I do not touch the PB at al.

Accordion bank first sound is another tone than normal.

So it,s not only OS reinstall here, Some thing in the Reinstal is wrong, NO IDEA, i can make video of it and send to you, !

So we do not talk about your Pa2X , but for another Pa2X under test !
Did you see any reference of mine to OS or format ? Not at all , since you probably face hardware issue
and you have to locate it !
- Missing your answer , if factory resources reveal these problems !

But let's concentrate exclusively on factory sounds !
- If modulation of a sound is sent to after touch controller then when this sensor (under keybed) has been destroyed
under user's overpressure , then it gives constant modulation of that sound even with the slightest pressure or touch ! !
- The same issue can be revealed , if modulation wheel controller is malfunctioning while can be stacked at any level.
- Therefore initially edit that suspicious sound and reset every OSC's LFO or pitch send to AT or Mod wheel to find
the defected hardware part !
- Read again my previous post for transpose and also do the same OSC test for pitch bend , adjusting
OSC sent to Pitch bend to -0 /+0 in order to find out if joystick part causes pitch instabilities .

Well, i can say sooo many things but it seems that i cant explain it on right way!

So if i try again than,

let say in this way.

If some thing is wrong whit the key bed, or mechanical trouble, Than this will effect all the sound, OR?
Its only on some sounds.



I explained that.

second, I formatted the 2 X, and re installed OS, and than resources.
= Same.

Nothing helps.

And it,s not Mechanical problem, . JS is working perfectly.
On Piano sounds, or another guitar sound, is ok, No Modulation there,
Just some of them.

And also, All sounds working, no transpose or so. JUST some of them is transposed.

NOT AL!

I do not undarstand , if i asked something wrong here,

I,m not triying to make any one angry either , i just wanna solve this.

And YES i did not see reference of OS.

this is not hardware problem i think, Couse all other sounds are ok,

I mean all Keys are working on pianos or strings or organs,
I think i must make video, or just ignore this, douse no one belives me.
I realy dont care, couse I think OS problems are to much on the KORG!
I wanna make Music, not find bugs and fix OS all the time.

Do not harry up !
A sound must be assigned to a controller in OSC level in order to listen to AT modulation , pitch bend or SWs effects !
A grand piano will be never assigned to Pitch or LFO AT !
- If you ask advices , first learn to listen to them !
- By 90% function issues are hardware problems , like it or not , and all of you are wasting your time keeping on
resetting system , formatting SSD and reloading OS & resources !

Everything needed has been already mentioned ! for the rest , korg service is out there !
