This might be a dumb question but how exactly would I go about controlling the microsamplers (reverse button) from Microkorg XL via midi? I was looking forward to experiment with the microkorg XLs arpegiator while it controls the direction a looping sample is being (reverse) triggered on the micro sampler rather than being limited by my inability to push the reverse button at 200 bpm. Weird question I know, but this could open up some interesting possibilities. |

I believe your only option would be to send SysEx (System Exclusive) data to the microSampler from another MIDI device that supports it. I can use my FCB1010 MIDI Foot Controller to do this.
If you really need to do this, you might look into getting a MIDIpal (http://mutable-instruments.net/midipal)
It can be programed to send SysEx data (to turn on/off the REVERSE button) after receiving a MIDI CC sent from your MicroKORG XL (or any other MIDI device).
Best of luck! |
