|
|
Hello everyone, as I didn't find anything smiliar in this forum yet I wan't to start a pattern archiv of some sort here. This is exclusivly
for the Electribe EMX as I don't own the red ESX.
The idea is to collect as many .EMX pattern sets for this still awesome box. Because it may help with your inspiration and you can
experience, hear and fiddle around with other people's creations. You might also learn new techniques to create unique sounds or
genres.
Update 23.03.2014: Pattern Share is now completely integrated into Revo Nize's Facebook group. Join us there for lively discussions
https://www.facebook.com/groups/EMXPH
Make sure to save your work entirely on your SD / SmartMedia Card beforehand, otherwise it will be lost!!

Oh, sorry about that, for some reason I thought the first of those links were to the preset patterns in the ESX. Wow, excellent, will download asap! |

I realize I've been slack with my pattern pack. It's just too hot at the moment to work on my EMX for any period of time. but I assure you there are some really good patterns coming along... slowly... _________________ http://soundcloud.com/neotechtonics

@neotechtonics
Hot... I was wondering first but then I saw you life in South Africa xD
I know what you mean, I've been working on a little pack too (only Chiptunes). I planned to release it as soon as I got bank A full. However I'm now stuck at A.54 or something
I've listened in on some of your music. The "project44-clip01" one sounds really interesting. I forgot how much 3D effect a good panning can add to the sound.
I think I'm going over my sound and add a little pan here and there (more delay on the pack ) |

I use mod-delay set at 3/8 on almost all my patterns. thickens out synths by adding layers and adds some stereo width. It can make up for how "thin" the EMX can sometimes sound. I've only recently started adding a touch of opposite panning on some percussion elements to give some more stereo movement.
my FX bank is usually
1. mod delay @ 3/8 >chained to>
2. reverb
3. additional FX
send synth lead parts to the delay+reverb, some percussion and/or synth to reverb. last effect is sometimes decimator to make some crunchy/dirty bass. _________________ http://soundcloud.com/neotechtonics

You can grab most if not all those emx files (and more) and a few other useful things from the files section of this youtube group. (may need to join it)
