What are the differences between the 2?

so far i have seen :

- despite the same sounds the PA3x sounds seem to have more body (also with same external amplification and speakers)
- The PAAS surpasses the internall PA900 speakers
- PA3X has better keybed (and 76 key version)
- Stronger build
- Tilting screen on PA3X
- Better TC hellicon in PA3X
- xlr mic connector with phantom power on PA3X
- Ballanced outputs on PA3x
- s/p dif on PA3X
- ribbon controller on PA3X,
- assignable sliders,
- EC5 connector,
- 8 MFX effects on PA3X vs 4 MFX effects on PA900
- PA3x has USB to device
- flash ram in PA3x vs SSD in PA900

PA900 has
- 128 note polyphony vs 120 on PA3X

All in all a long list, longer then one would expect at, but at Thomann.de the price difference between the two is huge... 1790 vs 3599 (PA3x int with PAAS)...while in essence its still the same technollogy..

So are there any things i have missed on my list?

The Pa900 can load Sound Font SF2 files - the Pa3X not!

The Pa900 has a 1" larger touch screen, but the Pa3X seems to be very accurate and not a problem.

Both have the same keybed - you are misinformed on that - I owned both.

The Pa900 also has USB to device, but the Pa900 does not have the internal hard drive. If you install the Micro card, you can treat it same as a hard drive.

I started with the Pa900 and liked it and the operating system so much I decided to go for the Pa3X. I think the 900 is ideal for a gigging musician due to it's size and weight. I went to the 3X-76 because I had never had a keyboard with more than 61 keys and wanted to try it. Also, I wanted the tilt up display and the internal hard drive. If I were a gigging musician, I would need wheels and a motor installed on this 76 because it is one very heavy dude. Shocked

You definitely get a lot more with the 3X - especially if you really want to get deep into the keyboard making your own sounds, styles and recordings.
