I'm new to the D3200. I've been figuring it out, but I am a bit ignorant when it comes to preamps.

1. I'm told the preamps in this are good. Do I have to do anything or are they automatically there? I believe I need to pad the channel as it lights up rather easy with out padding. When I trim it up, does that impact the preamp or is there something else I need to do?

2. Can you use more than one of the internal effects on a channel? It just seems like you should be able to, but I can't figure out how. I'd like to compress a vocal, but I'd also like reverb on it. I don't want to add external equipment if I don't have to. I'm just recording vocals and perhaps acoustic guitar. I have a nice Neumann TLM 102 mic and a Taylor 814ce acoustic I'll be using.

I am so sorry if I come across as completely stupid here. Please be gentle with me Smile

If anyone can help, I would be so grateful.

Thanks...
