You're going to have to modify a program, so you might want to make a copy of the one you're using now first.
I don't know if there's already a sax trill sample in the Kronos, which if there is you could use to do a velocity switch. But the simplest way to do it is to modulate the pitch with aftertouch using a Square LFO with the LFO's Offset value set to 99*. This makes the square LFO only use the upper half of its waveform, which is ideal for a trill.
Then on the OSC pitch page, set the LFO1 (or LFO2, whichever one you used) AMS value to Aftertouch. Set the Intensity below that field to 1.00*, which equals a half-step. Press a key and activate the aftertouch and listen. You can then go back to the LFO page and adjust the LFO's speed (Frequency) to taste.
*Anyway, I think these values are correct. I'm unable to test it at the moment. If they are wrong, somebody will jump in with the right info. |

HardSync,
in what initial menu (tab) do " i modulate the pitch with aftertouch using a Square LFO'"
i kind of got it to work, but it's modulating all the time, not with Aftertouch.
thanks |

Depending on the LFO you used, it's one of these two:

It's on the P5 LFO - Osc1 LFO1 or LFO2 tab depending on what you chose. You can read about it on page 91 in the Parameter Guide. |

Is there a way to achieve a trill effect using aftertouch or any other AMS
the above solution works for saxophone sound but does not work for percussive melody instrument such as santoor/dulcimer?
any help will be greatly appreciated _________________ Kronos x 61, Korg PA-700 ,Korg Wavedrum Global, macbook pro , logic x,M-audio bx5, |
