Hi guys! Very Happy
So I'm Beckie
I'm a Music Production student from the North West of the UK.
I produce electro and acoustic music.
I aspire to be a songwriter someday.
I recently got a microkorg xl+ synth and I'm in love!
I've always been into synthesizers since hearing of Wendy Carlos.
Most of my music production projects have been based on her and Robert Moog.
I'll be posting music I make and articles/books/essays I have written on synthesizers.
I'm currently writing a short book on iBooks on how synthesizers have changed over time and it'll have all interesting things in it!
;D

Say hi!

Hope to read that book very soon whenever I go to the book store wether its online or at the store itself hard to find its either about guitars or mixing in a studio, There not enough books over the history or making of synths well at least one that cover it broadly and the persons changing the sonic landscape that is music.

Hi Beckie!
Welcome to the forum - I'm fairly new here too.

I'm also a fan of Wendy Carlos (formerly Walter!), and particularly the work she did based on Purcell's Funeral Music for Queen Mary for Kubrick's film A Clockwork Orange. I'm just learning to play that now - (very slowly!) on my recently acquired Korg M3.

You might also want to check out Larry Fast (Synergy) who also did some stunning work during the age of experimental electronic music.

All the best for your future projects,
Mark.
