Thanks. I will have to do a little reading I think but am not sure that it will support the vst. Maybe someone with LogicX can clear it up. Thanks again! |

Thanks for letting me know.
OK, no problem. Give me a day and I will compile a AU version.

Thanks Sharp, I remember trying the sounds originally but never used them after that, not quite the way I remembered them and the Kronos stuff sounds so much better but with this and the ability to tweak a bit, which may have been there before truly I had no clue and still don't, I think I can get some of the D50 magic back, the way I remembered it back when it came out.
I certainly wish I knew where to start to learn all the programming stuff you do! |

AU / Logic support has been added.
So that makes this in total a KRONOS native format, VST PC32/64bit, MAC, and AU / Logic library.

Excellent, that's customer care. I'll go for it in the way back home.

How to install VST? I put both the 64-bit .dll and the instrument file in the C:/Programs/Steinberg/VST folder. Cubase loads the plug-in, but says "cannot find any instruments."

Extract the download to your C:/Programs/Steinberg/VST folder exactly as the data is provided. Don't change the folder structure of the data that unzips.
At this point you have a fully working 32Bit Edition.
To get this to 64Bit, there is a Zip file in the same folder as the 32Bit DLL. Inside this Zip file is the 64bit DLL. Unzip this Zip File to overwrite the 32Bit DLL. It is important that this 64Bit file overwrites the 32Bit one. Don't rename any of the files I made.
Any problems let me know.

Sharp,
Is there any way to listen to little samples of the different sounds? I’m always looking for 80’s/90’s sounds I can use in my cover band. Right now I’m still knee deep in the synt lead for the Head East song “Never Been Any Reason” |

This topic gets a well earned bump
Just installed the D50 sounds on my Kronos. Really impressive. Thanks for putting this together. |

Funny I actually find myself going to this bank in my Kronos quite often now.
Just downloaded Logic X a few weeks ago and am in the process of learning how to use this plugin, thanks Sharp! |

Looks like I'll have to upgrade the RAM to have the D50 samples load along with the preload on start up. Is this easy to do? |

Depends on how comfortable you are with removing screws. Soon as you take the bottom plate off the KRONOS the entire keybed comes loose. Some people find this unexpected and it can require a little patience to get the bottom plate back on again with the keybed positioned correctly.
As for actually installing the RAM. Once the bottom plate is off, installing the RAM takes only a few seconds. Same as installing RAM on any typical PC. If you have never done that before or you are in anyway uncomfortable with any of this, best to bring your KRONOS to an authorised dealer and have them do it.

I bought my Kronos 2-73 a few months ago, and I just found this thread about the D-50 libraries. I'm interested in them, but all the links seem to have gone dead (even the paid ones). Can anyone tell me if these libraries are still available somewhere?
