I believe that only the older ones are discontinued. I think the newer SD versions are still active products.

Phew! (wipes brow) They've had a good run.

Next step: fully analog (or analog+user-definable PCM) electribe ER (ER-eXtreme?) with multiple outs (just 4, I'm not greedy! Razz), tubes and potentiometer interface to take on Tempest! Okay, maybe I am getting greedy...

It's kind of hard to keep hardware going when there's so much choice in the DAW market for software/controllers. Korg may feel it's dead, but who knows? Maybe they'll sell enough Volcas to reconsider. Those who need hardware will just have to p/u Roland Aira machines, or Elektron gear. I already know that Electribes are going to be great collector items, and will likely rise in value.
