I'd like to get an electric piano sound on the Krome 88 like the one on this song by Bob James.Should I edit one of the onboard electric piano sounds in program mode?
I love that sound.

Thanks.

hi denv,

I know that sound from the m50, it's actually a stock sound. I'm on my krome with the m50 sound banks. Download the m50 sounds, load them in your krome and look for A003: Rich Tea E.Piano. Actually you can load only this sound from the sd, browse it there.

Cheers!

That sounds like it's a Richard Tee EP sound, not a Bob James one Wink
Unfortunately I can't open the link on my iPad, but Bob James tends to have a really clean Rhodes sound whereas Tee is generally associated with a Rhodes with phaser effect.

For the average Bob James sound I'd go for a Mk1 or a Suitcase and play around with the EQ. I don't think the Krome has the preamp section from the Kronos, does it?

There is no need for any extra editing, check the m50 sound that I suggested it's 100% the same. Very Happy

Here it is. https://www.wetransfer.com/downloads/2247d92e02124ac8aeb869b8f9a317b220140715194147/bb0289ba51df9ae7eed03b76af725ddb20140715194147/503911

Srry it took so long, but my m50 pcg is not m50 anymore, all my sounds are modified. So I had to find time to search for a new one.

Have fun!
