|
|
Sorry if this has been answered - I've not been able to find, well, the answer I'm looking for.
I want to assign each of the USER knobs to control the volume of an independent instrument in a COMBI patch. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance. Sorry for the bother - trying to digest a lot of stuff here all at once! |

The only way is to use one Knob for volume control and other three knobs to control the gain adjust of three IFX set on stereo limiter.
If you're wiling to sacrifice three IFx for volume controls please let me know. I will show you with details and also I can send a template combi with 4 Knobs set on volume control for 4 zones.
Cheers,

(Don't mock my novice ability! )
Thanks to a bunch of posts on the forums that I sifted through (and your deeply appreciated help), it turns out this is a historical issue with Korg. What I found out:
- I was able to assign "volume" to one of the knobs. You have to go into the MIDI filter page of the combi and disable the control for the other channels.
- I routed the other sounds to their own stereo compressor IFX. Down at the settings for "Output Level", I used a small value for output level (~15), assigned the knob in "Src" and gave it an AMT of ~20. This seemed to allow a more linear control of the level through the knob turn.
WHEW! I knew I bought the right keyboard! (Dan: THANKS for all your help!) |

I'm glad that you find the right way.
One think:
Using the Knob # on AMS have a range of control from 0 +64 to 0 -64.
Using Knob [+] on the AMS have a range from 0 to 127. I think is better to control the volume, gain, input level.
Kind regards,
