HELP NEEDED PLEASE Sad Sad Sad
On my Korg PA2X , when I load new styles and sets (with sampled sounds etc. ) ...I get the "Please wait" message for at least 10-20 MINS then "GENERIC DEVICE ERROR " message . I find that not all is loaded especially the drum and rhythm samples etc. thus not working as should . Tried and updated operating system and reformatted . I have a 256mb card as well . All help will kindly be appreciated.

Possibly a SET that is corrupted. I doubt it is an OS issue or bug.
What is the source of the SET you are loading? (Where was it created?)
Can you load individual components of it successfully (e.g. by "opening" the SET)
Make sure there is no "GLOBAL" loaded if it has come from another keyboard.

Cheers

Hi Pete ,
Thanks you for replying

The sets are from other PA arrangers and friends trusted sources . Used them before without issue , some where even created on my keyboard saved on USB ,. Then when I reload I get this error message, and not all data downloads especially the sampled drum section .

Have you tried a different USB drive?

Sorry Chris - maybe a stupid question, but does it load the Korg-supplied SETs ok or does this relate to ALL SETs?

Cheers

If a XXX.SET was saved by this Pa2X in your HD and now you can't load it , causing generic error , that means that this
SET was saved under previous OS (that did not had the new incompatibility protection as the latest one) and has many
incompatibility issues with Pa2X .
Same happens with custom randomly looped time sliced percussion that seemed to work properly in Pa800/Pa2X but actually
they didn't , causing system damage ! This is also fixed in latest OS and you can't load them any more !

Remember that any resources that have been made in a newer PaSeries than Pa2X cannot be loaded in Pa2X.

Your last chance is to open YOUR.SET/ open SOUND file / open DK / and load one by one all your drum/percussion sounds
to find out what is incompatible and omit it , due to recreate your older SET nor downgrade your OS ( not recommended) !

Try to load them one by one, but do not load Global, PCM, and Sound
