What additional information would you like to be stored or do you miss in a PCG/sysex file if you could design it yourself?

(e.g. per file: description, author, copyright info, ...)
(e.g. per program/combi bank: date of creation, ...)
(e.g. per program/combi: description, author, ...)

Hi Michel,

Authorship is a pretty cool feature that I'd like to see, and I suppose that could also encapsulate things like copyright info, date, descriptive names as well.

Personally what I'd like to see in your tool is the ability to move objects around like from bank to bank, e.g., copy the entire contents of bank "I-C" to "E-A" or "E-G".

Another really neat thing might be a value-based parameter list for each program/combi.

Thanks for your reply. I think I should add user defined strings to be added to a PCG file (or as separate file connected to it). Need to think about it better when/if I would add that. But indeed, copyright info, date and description like texts would be nice.

You already can move programs/combis from one bank to another. Just select the bank (or all patches in a bank) and paste them in another. Only the name of the bank itself is not copied.

What do you mean with 'value-based parameter list' ? Like every parameter (like OSC 1, Waveform: 342)... That might be quite timeconsuming, since I would need to search for all parameters for all supported synths, speaking of thousands of parameters. However a byte list should be possible; problem is that bytes do not say that much to musicians.
