|
|
Hi,
When I try to load an aif sample of 7.2 MB in Sampling Mode, I get this Warning message:
Not enough memory to load sample. Sample Truncated. and my sample is not loaded completely.
When I check the available memory, it shows 60.14 MB.
So I am confused because if I have enough memory why can't I load my entire sample successfully?
Thanks for any help.
Please see the screen shots:

I found the reason why I am getting the warning message.
According to the User Manual page 242:
Note: If the sample exceeds the maximum size allowed by the
Pa900 (1,048,576 samples, corresponding to 1 Megasample, either
mono or stereo), it will be truncated. A warning will appear in the
display.
Now I understand that my sample has to be equal or less than 1 Mega sample.
Here is what I did to decrease the size of my sample but I am still getting more than 1 Mega sample, its about 1.8 MB:
I converted my stereo sample to Mono.
I decrease the resolution to 32000 HZ.
I save it as 8 bits.
Is there any other way to decrease the sample size that I ignore without cutting the sample length?
Note: Shorten and Looping the sample is not an option in my case.
My sample is a musical phrase that I want to assign to INTRO 1 of a style.
Duration of the sample (musical phrase) is 43 sec.
Thanks for any hints or idea. |

Have you considered chopping the sample into smaller, allowable chunks, and then having the intro play them in sequence? |

No, I have no clue about this. Can you explain how can I achieve this?
Thanks. |
