|
|
I currently use a Pa80. I like to split the keyboard and play left handed manual bass. For anyone farmiliar with the pa80 , changing the bass sounds in manual bass mode is simple to do on this keyboard. The select button is next to the screen and you can change to whichever bass sound you desire regardless of the style preset.
However, I was trying out a pa800 (as looking to finally upgrade) and I cannot see any option to change the manual bass sound when i'm using 'styles'... i'm forced to use the sound it comes with. Uopn reading the pdf manual online, the only option I found was to go into a different page, but then i'm unable to change the sounds for my right hand... and when I return to the main page to do so, the manual bass sound reverts to it's default.
Please tell me there is a straight forward way to do this. Your help would be immensely appreciated. |

I have the answer for you. You need to use a Songbook entry. When the PA800 turns on, it is in Style Play mode. As it seems you learned, you press the Track button to change screens, so that the tracks are displayed. Track three is the Bass track. The default sound is an Acoustic Bass. Touch track three and in the track three area, there is a small arrow you can press that will bring up the sound selection. You can now change to a different Bass Sound. Now for that to remain available, and for you to recall that setting, you have to save it as a songbook entry. Press the Songbook button, then press the Book Edit 1 tab. Press New Song. You can enter the info for the song Genre, Artist, Key info. Check Write STS. The Bass sound change you made is actually going to be saved in STS1, which is one of Four STS's available per song. STS stands for Single Touch Settings. Press Write. You can now set the name of the song. Then press write again. I hope this helps you. You can have a huge number of songs in the songbook. You can use the Filter on the Songbook > Book tab to find songbook entries easily. Just check the Filter box on the Book tab, press Filter and enter the text to find a songbook entry.
I f you have any questions just ask. I just found your post now, I know it was not a speedy answer. Cheers.
