|

Hello all! New to the forum, mainly because I'm considering buying an ES-1.
I already have an FC6 that I use with a Korg A2, but was wondering if I could use it with the ES-1. I'm mainly thinking of start/stop and program change. Nothing too taxing!
What are the MIDI capabilities of the ES-1? I looked at the manual but could only find info on using MIDI for tempo syncing.
Thanks |

Since nobody else knows, I thought I should post my findings.
I bought an ES1 and hooked it up to my Korg FC6. In either mode, the FC6 will switch easily. I just had to turn on MIDI on the ES1. Bank up buttons advance the pattern number by 10. I could only change patterns on the es1, not songs.
The Boss Rc300 loop station also works happily with the ES1. Switching Clock on the ES1 to External meant I could change tempo with the RC300. Pattern changes on the RC300 also change patterns on the ES1- very handy!
Hope someone else finds this useful. |
