You have 8 slots to save into. These are the numbered keys.

To save, simply press function + memory + the numbered key you want to save into.

thanks...

I can save eight patterns in the numbered keys.

Should i be in setp-mode, and should it be with "play" mode on. as in the sequence playing?

it doesn't matter. Whatever is already entered will be recorded whether its currently playing or not.

Also, don't be afraid to experiment.

Thanks. Its more being confused also. Im having fun with tweaking parts of the sequence ety....the saving and loading part is throwing me off. for eg. after tweaking the open hat and i move the Part to snare the texture and tone of the sequence changes. Im sure itys a high learning curve im facing:)

FRom what you are describing, I'm wondering if its because you have the Stutter on (without Global). That's the only way that changing parts will affect the sound. Turn the stutter knobs down if that's the case.

by the way, you should check out Automatic Gainsay's Volca videos on youtube. He runs through the features and provides a brief tutorial as well. I imagine that will be a better tool for you than the manual.
