Hi all.
This is kind of pointless as it's such a straight forward process, but someone might find it interesting.

I should have put some Elevator Music into the video or something to make it a little more bearable. ..lol.

Seems Youtube is still processing the file so 320P is only available at the moment. Give it a few minutes and the HD 1080P version should be selectable.

Regards
Sharp.

Perfect, it's exactly what I need to give me the confidence to update.

Cheers for your efforts Sharp, as always.

Sharp,

Thanks for posting. One question. Does the update effect saved programs, Combi's or Samples on the Kronos?
Thanks,

Bill

No, the update does not overwrite any sounds already in memory. That said, it's simply good practice to make sure you have a backup of them before loading anything. Just in case $hit happens. Wink

Sharp.

I notice on the video when the Kronos is restarted that all the 9 engine graphics show on the screen. Why are they not on mine? I have a Kronos 61

A few months ago KORG released a new firmware for the KRONOS that everyone was to install. One of the things that firmware changed was the bootup graphics.

So I suspect you never installed that ?

Regards
Sharp.

I played the elevator music in my head. Hope this helps some people - amazing really how the same questions on the procedure pop up every time.

Hi SHarp

I never realised that was another update...have had that file downloaded for ages...

Anyway what is the sub-system all about? is it like a kernel update of sorts or just for midi drivers? is there any advantages or so?

Thanks

Hi cloydmello
The firmware improves the reliability of USB MIDI transmissions to USB 3.0 ports on Windows computers.

And the start-up display has been modified to include the logos representing the KRONOS synth engines.

Regards
Sharp.
