Ok.. sorry to dredge up an old, 4+ years topic, but I am also curious about this.
The announcement of the new Electribe2 units has, of course, gotten me excited. In going to pre-order the Electribe Sampler I see the wait is measured, potentially, in years. So, in anticipation of the Electribe I purchased an ESX to go with it, no memory card included. So..
Do these SM card adapters work with this unit? Does anyone have any experience? |

Hi- yes they work perfectly fine- no problems.
For some reason I had the same concerns when I bought mine- but I had nothing to base this on. It arrived and has worked perfectly ever since. You just attach the little one to the big one and off you go.
I have a selection of normal SM cards which I am about to sell- you can drop me a line if you are interested |

An xd-to-smartmedia adapter works fine in my esx-1. Just remember the esx-1 can only read cards of up to 128mB though... _________________ If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Correct.
I tried tricking formatting 256MB XD as 128MB but the electribe wouldnt read it anyways.
I am superhappy with my XD to smartmedia adapter.
It was a pain in the ass to find smartmedia, but XD is much easier to find (and cheaper).
Definately worth the money. _________________ Korg Electribe SX Upgrade v3:

Since I couldn't get anything bigger than 128mb I decided to just buy up some SM cards. They weren't hard to find, and if you look on Ebay in the digital cameras you can get old, nobody-wants cameras for around $10 and they often have 128mb cards in them. |
