I have a question guys, thought id ask here rather than do a new thread.... is there any way to get a note repeat going for parts? i know you could do it with the gate arp but it requires using both hands, one to hold down the sound and the other to determine the gate on the pad.

I'm looking to use the e2 as a drum filler for my DJ sets...

So either a way to only control the gate arp pad without having to hold down the trigger button (i know you could do it with touch scale) but i dont want to change the pitch of the sound as well just the arp)

i guess a better question would be is there a way to make touch scale only the default note anywhere on the XY pad so i can only use one hand for gating the note while playing it without changing the pitch.... i hope my question is not too badly worded.

What about holding a single pad or group of pads in Step Jump mode?

I am not sure this is mentioned before, but i accidently found out that you can gate ARP chords. So when you select chordmode and at the xy pad you select gate ARP. Notice that you do not turn on the light for Touch Scale, because then you got another note playing alone with the chord.

So select chord mode, use the 16 pads to play the chords(hold the button) with your right hand and play the gate ARP with your left hand on the xy pad.

Of course you can do the same in keyboard mode.

Try experimenting with different gate arp settings, and have fun.
(Moral of the story: i always tought you can play only with the combination of gate ARP and touch scale to do Gates stuff.

But you can combine it with chord mode)!

I do this all the time...this the "drum solo" parts of my live shows. Really fun, works great!

Nope, no real ARP. Whish iTS possible with future updates. Even my good oud mc 303 can do real ARP!

But, the chord gate is great for example piano, it retriggers the chords, so its not like cutting off the volume like a slicer.
