I've seen a couple of User Guides which go right into technical stuff. I need to back up and figure out what all the knobs and buttons do. Is there some kind of diagram for that? Sent 2 emails to Korg and so far no answer. |

Isn't there an operation guide or quickstart guide? _________________

Here is a link to a quick start guide.

More manuals are available in the support section of the Korg website. |

I suppose first thing to know is that "classic" is a general term for the first iteration of triton. The three key-counts indicate number of keys and key weight: Triton (no extension) 61 unweighted "synth" action, Triton Pro = 73 synth, Pro EX = 88 weighted. These all use the same synth engine and voices developed for this unit can all be used interchangeably.
You may want to keep an eye on all 3 of the Triton subgroups: Classic (yours), Studio and Extreme since the architecture of sound design is identical except that Studio has, I believe, a somewhat improved piano, additional space for onboard sounds and more studio type interfaces (SCSI, etc.) and hard disc recording, while the Extreme has extensive additional ROM drawn from EXB expansion boards.
You should also check our the download section, and look into the free editor/librarian software available for use with the Triton generation synths.

thanks for all replies. The first time I sat at my Triton Pro I was holding headphones and looking for a place to plug. Nothing on the front panel either. BaldEagle's diagram helped a lot. Is there one for the front panel? I'm starting to think that Korg assumes a technical knowledge I don't have.
Bill from Vienna...I will expand my research. |
