Hi to everyone, I'm an avid Kronos forum visitor, but this is my first time here in the mastering/mixing section.

I've got a question regarding monitoring when mixing:

I currently use a pair of M-Audio Bx5a studio monitors to mix my music (not to record), and so far have had relatively good results, but my dad has an unused Technics hifi centre, which has a SU-X320 amplifier and SB-CD320 speakers.

I was wondering if anyone would recommend putting that to good use as a 2nd reference when mixing, and if useful, how I could go about switching the output speakers of my system from one reference to the other (I mix with a Juli@ sound board by EGO Sys)

any help will be appreciated!
