Thanks for the heads-up, Tarekith. James is always awkward in interviews but his productions speak for themselves. Cannot wait to get this hardware in hand! |

RRP has been bumped up to $649?!
Wow lol. I'm really not sure if I could justify that kind of money for such a limited box, might have to import from the us or uk?. Will have to see what people pull off with it.
The sound quality isn't too good on the mistabishi video, hoping it was just recorded hot or something ? Maybe he bumped down the sample quality to fit more material on? _________________ Korg gear : EMX1SD, Volca Sample, DS-10

All the shops in Australia are selling @ $649..
I had one preorded a few months ago for $500 including delivery but canceled the preorder after being disappoint with the emx2 :/
Seems like demand/supply = price hike

Same happened with most European shops. They raised the price from 399 euro to 449 euro. Would another RRP increase happen before or after an updated firmware has been released? |

Thanks for posting the new vid.
It sounds pretty good from what i''v heard (IE, listening on crappy headphones on a laptop at work). I haven't listened to the whole piece, but no obvious glitches or drops, nice sounds from it. Maybe not musically my cup of tea but a good indicator of what the device is capable of in the right hands.
Time will tell if mine are the right hands or not but that's why i'm posting this at my office at work, and Mistabishi is making money as a real life recording and performing artiste! _________________ Korg MonoPoly, APC 20, Ableton Live, NI Massive, Bass Station rack. |

Thanks for the vid, it's not really legit though because there's no proof that this is the ES2 alone, or at all for that matter. Korg being so tight lipped about this product isn't a good sign. Raising the cost is a tricky move because now the product has to live up to it, only adding more pressure. Oh well, I guess eventually we'll find out. |

for what it's worth, GC still has it listed at $399 here in the states. I sure hope it holds steady around that price. if it goes up near the $600 mark, I'll probably save another $75 for a used op-1. then again, if it hits the $600 mark and it's stacked with functionality, count me in. |

Sounds pretty decent so far, 6 mins in to the video. Sounds cleaner than the ESX and synths stuff sounds better, I'd be curious what is the synth engine and what are sampled synth parts, and of course much remains to be revealed, such as how many slice parts can you use, keyboard parts, are there really no stretch parts now? Or is it a whole new paradigm? I've been holding out hope for the sampler, I've always liked the sampling electribes best anyway, though I have enjoyed my EMX and made a fair many tracks with it. |

Yeah, really hard to say it sounds good when it's a sampler. Really depends on what you're feeding it mostly. Sounds like lots of Wet Reverb getting used though. _________________ Erik M.
