As it is Korg SQ-1 just sends out Midi-notes beginning from C3 thus making it impossible to use the full note-range on Korg MS20mini, for example to play deep bass-lines.
In my YouTube-video I show a way how to overcome this limitation by using additional equipment. (Midi Solutions Event Processor Plus)
Remark: In my video I use a Volca Bass for demonstration purposes, but it works with other synths as well...

I agree this is a shortcoming in the SQ-1 when using it as a MIDI source.
I mostly use the SQ-1 as an analogue sequencer so I just send the CV out through a voltage mixer and apply a +/-ve offset to get the range I want.
To be fair, the SQ-1 is not really intended as a primary MIDI sequencer, it's a CV/GATE sequencer first and foremost. _________________ MS-20M - SQ-1 - Trinity V3 - Moog Sub 37 - Waldorf Blowfeld |
