Do mstall files contain seq. files and song template data as well as pcg files?
I have mstall files from my old MS and I want to use them in my new MS. I hope to be able to access my old songs.

NO, cant u read manuals?!.

Saves data from the microSTATION Editor/Plug‐In Editor to
your computer as dedicated file.

All Data (.MSTall): All data (program, combination, song
settings
, global settings).
---
THERE'S ONLY 1 WAY to save a song data is within mS:
In SEQ mode: song data
need to be saved to SD Card as
1) • .SNG file:
Song.
2)• .MID file:
Saves a Sequencer mode song in Standard MIDI File
(SMF) format.
-----

About preloaded data and preset data
“Preloaded data” refers to the data that is loaded in the
microSTATION when it is shipped from the factory.
You are free to rewrite this data, and with the
exception of the demo songs, the data will be written
to the location as described in “Writing to internal
memory.” This data is stored in the microSTATION’s
system area.
The preload data can be reloaded into internal
memory via an SD card by using a Global/Media mode
command such as “Load PCG.”

Using your computer, copy the preload data
(PRELOAD.PCG) from the “Factory Preload
Sounds” folder of the included disc to the
“MICRO_ST” folder on the SD card.

Loading a PCG file will load the following data.
•Program: Bank A, B, C, D (000–095)
•Combination: Bank A, B
•Drum Kit: 00 (INT)–47 (INT)
•User Arpeggio Pattern: 000...639
•Global Setting

Saving to media
The following data can be saved to various types of
media.
• .PCG file:
Programs, Combinations, Drum kits, Global
settings, and user arpeggio patterns.
• .SNG file:

• .MID file:
Saves a Sequencer mode song in Standard MIDI File
(SMF) format.

According to your logic ; everything is in the manuals. OK Brad, so why even have this forum!? I didnt ask to be lectured by you about reading the manuals. So in the future why not refrain from answering my questions!? The answer to my question is not clearly spelled out in the manual, for example, "song data" I was hoping might mean seq data. Were not all machines here understanding every technical term. So refrain from answering my questions and lecture yourself in the mirror. Cheers !
